Kourtney Greene is one of the main characters (Seasons 1-2) turned second female lead (Season 3-4) from the Disney+ Original Series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. She is the daughter of Michelle Greene. She is Nini's Best Friend. She was a Junior at East High School in Season 1 and Season 2. She is a Senior at East High School in Season 4. She is the Costume Designer and Makeup Artist for the Drama Club. In Season 1, she was asked to take Gina Porter's place by playing Taylor McKessie in High School Musical when Gina Porter wasn't there before the first show start in Opening Night. In Season 2, she was cast as Mrs. Potts in East High School's spring production of Beauty and the Beast. In Season 3, she was cast Elsa in Camp Shallow Lake's production of Frozen. Kourtney is obsessed with makeup tutorials and feminism in equal measure. Niniās ride-or-die BFF, Kourtney also works on the costume crew of High School Musical.[1]
In Season 1, she is mainly only Nini's sassy friend she is very supportive, and is always there for her friends despite the fact that Nini is rarely there for her. She's also a feminist, and it is known that she loves make-up and clothes. She is dramatic, fun-loving, helpful, creative and supportive. In Season 2, she starts to do more things for herself like getting a job and auditioning for the musical.

Early Life[]
Kourtney Greene was born in 2003 to Michelle Greene. She started her freshmen year at East High School in the fall of 2017.
Season One[]
The Auditions[]
She spends most of her time in this episode either hyping Nini up for her audition or urging Nini to be careful with who she chooses to date.
The Read-Through[]
She continues to act as Nini's sassy black friends, she picks out clothes for Nini while helping her sort out her feeling for Ricky.
The Wonderstudies[]
She tries to help Nini figure out a way to handle the possibility that Gina stole Nini's phone but she had already stolen Gina shoes. After getting Nini to return the shoes she steals a bag of Gina's things including her scripts, scarves, and headphones.
Blocking[]
She goes to a cafƩ with Nini to comfort her over her breakup with EJ, and gets a text from Tonya Freeman which Nini automatically assumes is from EJ. Tonya has been vetoing all of her ideas and instead suggesting the characters wear things like track pants.
Homecoming[]
Kourtney stays with Nini in the bathroom while she tries to flush her homecoming dress down the drain and suggests they skip homecoming to have a girls night. Nini spends most of girls night venting to Kourtney about her problems until Kourtney spots Tonya there. Nini says that she should say something so she walks up to her table on comments on the sweater that she was wearing despite previously vetoing the idea when Kourtney suggested it. Later she goes outside with Nini to sing Born to be Brave.
What Team?[]
During the rehearsal she suggests that instead of being surrounded by boys she's surrounded by a forest of "supportive sisters". She later helps to organize the flashmob at the school conference.
Thanksgiving[]
She spends the episode visiting family for thanksgiving.
The Tech Rehearsal[]
When Nini talks about applying to The Youth Actors Conservatory she asks about them being separated for senior year. When Miss Jenn asks for someone to sing to test the speaker system she gives an amazing performance of Bop to the Top. Near the end of the episode she calls YAC to ask them to come see Nini in HSM.
Opening Night[]
Last minute she had to fill in for Gina Porter's part by playing Taylor McKessie due to Gina being forced to move before Opening Night.
Act Two[]
She talks to Nini about EJ replacing Ricky in the musical.
Season Two[]
New Year's Eve[]
She sets goals for the new year like expanding her friendship circle and getting a job. During their New Year's Eve party she organizes a game where they guess each others New Years resolutions.

She auditions for the spring musical and gets the part of Mrs. Potts.

She gets a job as the manager of Salt Lake Slices and meets her season 2 love interest, Howie.
The Storm[]
Kourtney tries texting Howie, asking him to send her pictures of her flashcards so she can study for the test, Howie then drives through the snowstorm to bring them pizza and give her the notes.
The QuinceaƱero[]
She makes Gina and outfit for Carlos' party. Later Nini and Big Red suggest that Howie could like her and scoffs at the idea.

She asks Howie out on a date and he accepts.
The Field Trip[]
She finds out that Howie is playing the beast at North High School and they break up.

She goes to East High with the rest of the Wildcats and as she's leaving North High she hears Howie's ringtone and Howie reveals he is actually playing the beast in North High's production of Beauty and the Beast.
Spring Break[]
Kourtney stays in Salt Lake to work at Salt Lake Slices over the spring break. She talks to Howie to get information about North High's Instagram post.
The Transformation[]
She works with the other girls to make the beast's costume for his transformation until she's able to get information on the beast transformation done on Broadway from Howie and they decide to do that instead.
Showtime[]
During the intermission she finds Howie in the halls and he acts off. She gets nervous and goes to Nini to help calm her nerves.
Second Chances[]
She finds Howie in the hallway and he tells her he was acting weird because he was amazed by her performance.
Season Three[]
Happy Campers[]
She goes to Camp Shallow Lake with the rest of the Wildcats. She finds the camp too rugged and is upset about being separated by her phone.
Into the Unknown[]
She continues to feel upset about not having her phone with her, saying she doesn't know who she is without it.
The Woman in the Woods[]
Gina wakes her up to tell her they've been cast as anna and Elsa. During the newbie initiation night she shared a tent with Carlos and after hearing a noise she sends him out to see what it is. When he doesn't return she goes to looks for him only for Carlos and Ricky to jump out and scare her.
No Drama[]
Her and Carlos sing Fabulous to try to impress Corbin Bleu only to realize they were just performing the song for Dewey Wood. She spends most of the episode trying to impress Corbin, she wears black and gold after hearing they're his favorite colors and gives him a Twix bar also because she heard he likes them. She mention needing to talk to her mom about something to Gina but tells her it's fine after Gina asks further questions but Gina still decides to ask Val to play Kourtney's favorite movie instead of the planned one. That night Kourtney calls her mom to talk to her about her anxiety about university and how she isn't enjoying camp as much as she thought she would.
The Real Campers of Shallow Lake[]
Last episode Channing and Corbin Bleu want to discontinue filming the documentary as there isnāt enough drama so it is less like likely to succeed. But EJ tells them that we will. So Val and Carlos help EJ create more drama by planning The R.C.OSL. Everyone is assigned a part to play and drama starts. Kourtney has to be the judgy one and Jet has a crush on her (just for the documentary). But she goes along with it.
Color War[]
It is Color War! Kourtney is on the Yellow team with Carlos, Jet and Maddox. She is excited until she sees the climbing wall! She is afraid of heights and doesnāt want to but Ms Jenn comes for a visit and says that she will climb the wall when she is ready. Then Yellow Team wins Color War!
Camp Prom[]
It is the 70s themed Camp Prom and everyone is looking groovy. But when EJ gives a line prompt she completely forgotten her line. She has a lot of fun but then after she becomes scared since opening night is hours away. She then sings āHere I comeā and builds up the courage to finally overcome her fear of heights by climbing the wall.
Let It Go[]
It is opening night! But Kourtney is still afraid of going on as Elsa so Alex gives her a pep talk. But when she is singing āLet it Goā Channing decides to cut the power out but that will not stop Kourtney. Then Nini gives her a surprise! The show was a success and summer is over. Now itās time to go back to East High.

Michelle is shown to be supportive of Kourtney on all fronts, giving Kourtney advice on her relationship with Howie and comforting her while she talks about her anxiety.

Gina Porter (Friend)
While they get off on a rocky start with Kourtney stealing many of Gina's things in The Wonderstudies. In The QuinceaƱero, while Gina's trying on the jacket Kourtney made for her, she talks around the situation between her and Ricky without telling Kourtney what she's talking about. She also accidently hints to Kourtney that she's going to leave. In The Woman in the Woods, Gina wakes up Kourtney by singing Do You Want To Build a Snowman? telling her that she was cast as Elsa. They both looked at the cast list and get super excited when they find out they are playing on-stage sisters in Frozen. By No Drama, Gina is close enough to Kourtney that after felling that she was sad about something she asks Val to change the movie they're watching to her favorite movie.

Nini Salazar-Roberts (Best Friend)
In season 1, Kourtney is Nini's 'designated sassy black friend' with her always being ready to help her. The biggest favor she does for Nini is asking the dean of the Youth Actors Conservatory to attend their opening night of HSM. Nini never thanks her for this and leaves at the beginning of the next season to go to YAC. Kourtney doesn't seem to miss Nini and grows to be more independent while she's away. When Nini returns they go back to being friend with Nini helping Kourtney with Howie on multiple occasions.

They start to date but have a fight when Kourtney finds out that Howie is paying the beast at North High's Beauty and the Beast. Howie gives her North High's beast transformation plan as an apology. In Showtime Kourtney says that she was amazed by his performance in BATB but gets nervous when he is acting weird during the intermission. But the issue is resolved in Second Chances when he tells her he was acting weird because he was blown away by her performance.
