Kourtney Greene and Howie first met in Valentine’s Day when Kourtney Greene got a job as the assistant manager at Salt Lake Slices.

Kourtney gets a job as the manager at Salt Lake Slices
Howie comes in and ignores Kourtney trying to introduce herself as his boss
He asks her why she moved the banana peppers and she says that it was so the parmesan doesn't get on them.
He tells her that he's had a lot of other bosses like her that don't change anything then leave
She asks him why he thinks she won't be different and he shows her how to correctly fold a pizza box after she was struggling with it

After he comes back from delivering orders he tells her that the customer gave him a bigger tip because the banana peppers finally weren't covered in parmesan
He gave her a part of the tip and put it in a box in her desk after she refused it
As he leaves he finally introduces himself as Howie

Howie comes the East High School with pizza and Kourtney's notes during the big storm
They talk about how hard it was for him to get there
He gives her the card and offers to study with her
