Season 4 is the fourth and final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series premiered on August 9, 2023.
Plot[]
In season four of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” after an epic summer at Camp Shallow Lake, the Wildcats return to East High where they will prepare a stage production of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.” On their first day back, the principal announces that Disney has decided to make the long-awaited “High School Musical 4: The Reunion” movie on location at their beloved high school, and our Wildcats will be playing featured extras in the movie. It’s season four, and it’s now or never.[1]

In season 4 the wildcats will be performing a stage production High School Musical 3: Senior Year. In addition, "High School Musical 4: The Reunion", will be filmed at East High School and they will be playing extras.

On May 20, 2022, Disney confirmed that High School Musical: The Musical: The Series was renewed for a fourth season. Filming for Season 4 began on September 20, 2022. Filming officially wrapped in December of 2022. The season was released on August 9, 2023.

- This season is Tim Federle, the creator of the series' favorite season.
- This is the first Disney project Dara Reneé who plays Kourtney Greene and Kylie Cantrall who plays Dani have worked on together, the second being the Disney+ Original Movie Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024).
- Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Dara Reneé, Julia Lester, and Frankie A Rodriguez are the only main cast members that have been part of the main cast since Season 1.
- The first and last season to feature Liamani Segura who plays Emmy as a Main Cast Member.
